In this age of ever increasing technology and fast living, the knowledge and skills of the day to day life of our ancestors is being forgotten. As part of a fast-growing desire to preserve these skills, Dale Coleman, Leland Gilsen and Goode Jones present Echoes in Time.
The workshop is a collection of classes that teach these early living skills. 2009 will be the tenth year for Echoes; once again, it will be held at the Willamette Mission State Park, nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, just 8 miles north of Salem, Oregon. Participants can enjoy 5 days of learning skills from the stone-age through the pioneer era. The classes are meant to appeal (but are not limited) to anyone with historical interests, mountain men groups, scout groups, home schoolers, outdoors men, those interested in sustainable living, abo's, etc. Anyone interested in learning these endangered skills is invited to register. This is an excellent family outing and no previous experience or education is required. We'd love to have you join us!

New Website
As you may have noticed, the Echoes website is under new development. As we add more content and information, we hope to make the site as useful and informative as ever. The photo album is still currently under development, but we hope you'll find nothing else missing in the rest of the site. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact the web site developer at
Our thanks go out to Eddie Spicer for all of the years that he has managed echoes-in-time.com. Taylor Brown is now managing the website.
